Bail & Bail Bonds
Bail is usually a sum of money held by the court to insure that you will appear when required. The judge will set bail based on various factors including:
 | Type of crime committed. | | Injuries or property damage resulting from crime. | | Whether or not you are a threat to society. | | Previous criminal history. | | If you have ties to the community. |
You can pay the total amount requested in cash or pay a bail bondsman a percentage fee to guarantee your bail. The bail bondsman may also require collateral such as real estate or a vehicle. If you paid your own bail it will be refunded to you when your trial is finished. Fees paid to a bail bondsman are nonrefundable.
